Prerequisites:
Volunteers and students are subject to the following to be successful in their position.
- Criminal Record Search
- Recent Tuberculosis Test
- Medical Reference of Good Health
- Oath of Confidentiality
Once the prerequisites have been completed, AiMHi will match the Volunteers/Students with the program(s) that are best suited to their qualifications and experience.
Reference Checks:
AiMHi requires at least one (1) reference name, that we can contact, or reference letter that we can verify what is on your application, for all Volunteers/Students.
Orientations:
- Volunteers/Students will receive an orientation to the program(s) that best suits them.
- Volunteers/Students will not be left alone in the program(s).
Evaluations:
Volunteers/Students will be given and asked for feedback, and will be asked to participate in an exit interview when they leave.
Advance Notice:
AiMHi needs at least three(3) weeks notice when a student applies for a practicum to ensure that the reference checks and the prerequisites are completed before the start of the practicum/work experience.
Contracts or criteria regarding a student's practicum need to be forwarded to AiMHi before the start of the practicum.
